This very scarce Ashanti medal is the first campaign medal of the Edwardian era. The campaign was to control the Ashanti nation, who were very war like, and held a golden stool as a symbol of their power.
During 1900 the majority of available manpower were in South Africa and China, so the campaign was conducted with European ( British ) officers and native troops.

Original maroon fez from the 1st. Croation 13th Mountain Division of the Waffen SS. The maroon felt and sweatband are in very good condition as are the embroidered bevo SS eagle and skull.
