Operation Longstop Parachute Brigade Exercise

2nd Parachute Battalion mass training exercise on Salisbury Plain on two days 22nd & 23rd September 1947. In front of the world press 700 parachutists, jeeps and 6pdr anti tank guns were dropped from 46 Group Dakotas and Halifax. 3,000 personnel were involved and all overseen by Air Marshal Lord Tedder and Field Marshal Lord Montgomery.

Photo Sniper FS-3 Moscow Made Border Guard issued 1965 & Post

The photo sniper rifle was made by KMZ the Mechanical Factory of Krasnogorsk in Moscow. This one was made for use by a section of the Grenzkommano Grenztruppen border guards of the GDR, which were in fact GAK and Stasi in border guard uniform. Used primarily for observation and surveillance.
