1St. Parachute Bn. Photos Oct 1941 Ringway Manchester

These are the original press first photographs of the 1st Parachute Battalion Oct 23rd 1941. They had changed their name from No.11 SAS Bn. one month before.
Look at jumping point on the 'Whitley' was this the hole in the floor exit.
Two excellent 10" x 8" plus one cut down stained photo by different press agencies taken at Ringway Airport.
Plus 6 photographs of Para training as glider pilots from different press agencies, Oct.1942 with 'Hotspur' gliders. The press blurb says 'Somewhere in the south of England' No! these photographs are also part of Ringway WW2 archive. Additional photographs 178 page 7.
